Daniel "Danny" Meyer (b. 1958, St Louis) is a New York City restaurateur. He was born and raised in St Louis, and spent portions of his childhood traveling throughout Europe with his father's tour company, studying food and hospitality extensively in France and Italy (including such cities as Bordeaux, Rome, and Paris). In 1985, at the age of 27, he began his career as a restaurateur with the opening of Union Square Cafe.

Six of his restaurants are in the Union Square area of Manhattan; the greenmarket there played a role in the situation of his restaurants.
Meyer has made numerous appearances at the annual Food & Wine Magazine Classic in Aspen, Colorado.
