Danny Hesp (born 19 October 1969 in Amsterdam) is a retired Dutch football player who played for Ajax, Heerenveen, TOP Oss, Roda JC, AZ, NEC and RBC Roosendaal
At the time he broke through in the Ajax side at age 18, he was considered one of their brightest talents for the future. However, his career was seriously curtailed when he broke his leg in a match against FC Den Bosch, following a tackle made by Fred van der Hoorn. Though it was feared he would never play professional football again, he did fight back after two years of revalidation and went on to play over 400 league matches, albeit without ever attaining his old level.
He is the younger brother of Ruud Hesp.
