Danny Foster (born May 3, 1979, Hackney, London) is a singer and TV personality.
Danny Foster was a member of the British pop group Hear'Say. Like the other members of the group, he won his part through the talent show Popstars.The band had chart success with Pure and Simple becoming the fastest selling debut single of all time. The group had other successes including two number one singles, a number one album and sell out arena tours. After the split of the band, Foster took a break from the public eye, for personal reasons: tabloid rumours of alcohol and depression. He sought help and went into recovery. It is rumoured Paul McKenna also helped him[1] [2]
Danny Foster appeared on Channel 4's programme The Games (2005), along with Craig Charles, Chesney Hawkes(2004), and fellow popstar Spice Girl Mel C (2003). Danny has since appeared on channel Five's, Trust Me - I'm A Beauty Therapist in October 2006 along with Suzi Quatro, Stan Boardman and Michelle Marsh[3] According to Danny Foster official website(2008) Danny is currently singing in his own show "The Soul Set" where he sings classic soul numbers from Marvin Gaye, Stevie Wonder and such like. [4] Danny also works for various charities.[citation needed]
Sir Elton John compared Danny to Shrek. Sir Elton then sent his trademark flowers to Foster and famously apologised at The Royal Variety Show and asked Danny on a date.[5][6] [7]
