Daniel Flores (akas: Danny Flores; Chuck Rio) (July 11, 1929September 19, 2006) was the singer on his self-written song Tequila, an American Billboard number one hit in 1958 for The Champs.

Flores was born to Mexican field workers in Santa Paula, California and died of pneumonia in Huntington Beach, California.[1]

"Tequila!" was written and sung by Flores although he was credited as Chuck Rio at the time because he was under contract to another record label at the time. Flores, who died in September 2006, was known as the "Godfather of Latino Rock."[2] Flores' "dirty sax" and his joyous hollering of "Tequila!" are the hallmarks of the song. [1] Flores signed away the U.S. rights to the song but retained world-wide rights until his death.[3]

Mr. Tequila worked with his beautiful wife Sharee who sang and played the drums right along side of Chuck. They had the kind of Love that was UNCONDITIONAL. Sharee took care of Danny when he got sick with parkansis. Sharee was by his side till the very end. Being married 33 beautiful yrs. she took care of him and loved him till death did they part. Danny had seven children but only one with Sharee. Jimmy,Ricky,Micheal,Sonjia,Cynthia and Shiela. Kellye was the only child to Danny and Sharee. They have three wonderful Grandchildren that Danny was able to see from a seed to birth. Danny was so amazed and was fortunate enough to spend a lot of time with them. Jasmine, Tatiana and Frankie. Plus Danny has many other Grandchildren along with Great Grandchildren. (Far too many to mention).
