[edit] Biography
[edit] Early years
Danny's early years saw him mainly producing house-eque music in a similar style to that of Basement Jaxx, which led him to release his first EP at the age of 17 in 2003. He went on to complete a number of remixes over the next few years for acts such as David Bowie, Basement Jaxx, Gwen Stefani, Stonebridge, Chris Coco, Massive Lust, CZR and many others, releasing singles on the biggest dance labels of the time and performing a 4 turntable and effects DJ set all around the world before leaving house music to concentrate on bigger and better projects in the Hip Hop, R'n'B and Pop scenes.
[edit] Career
Danny is renowned for his future thinking and edgy Hip Hop influenced pop music, and with very few named producers to come out of the UK, British media and websites have been hailing him as the UK's answer to Timbaland and The Neptunes. On recent projects Danny has been working closely with Neal Pogue who has been Outkast's mix engineer for the last ten years, winning a grammy in the process for his work on Outkast's multiplatinum selling Speakerbox/Love Below album. This along with Danny's programming has led to a sound and production not usually matched by UK productions in the Hip Hop/R'n'B fields.
In late 2006 Danny produced the majority of UK soul star Nate James' second album, this from Nates personal Myspace page
"'Kingdom Falls' is very much 2007 in fact i don't think you guys are ready for it!! We got funk & soul of course but how about some beats inspired by house, drum & bass and trip hop sitting alongside the most epic live strings you'll have heard since you last played Massive Attack's Blue Lines album! The album was mixed in LA in December & January by Outkast's mix engineer Neal H Pogue." -Nate James, 2007
[edit] Trademarks
Danny has acquired many trademark sounds in his productions. One of which is rapid fire use of short sound effects, these have been employed by Danny since his house days, along with triplet time programming on additional sounds. He also known for bring Aphex Twin style edits into pop productions, and prides himself on a depth of technical programming even on the most poppiest of releases.
On top of this Danny is renowned for mixing all forms of world, urban and black music together to form modern hybrids and is continually pushing boundaries and trying to bring in quirkyness and freshness to modern rhythm based pop music.
[edit] Current Projects
