[edit] Biography
Danny (pronounced [ˈd̪ä.ni]) (born Danny J. Rivas García), was born on January 8th, 1991 in Alicante's hospital, Spain. He started working on recording the day of his birthday a demo in nT Studios. The owner, Abel nT (Dannys's producer), decided to go farer away and start his own record label. He offered Danny a contract.
Besides music, he keeps on studying Bachillerato on High School and he's able to speak several languages (among them: English, Catalan, German, Polish, Russian, or Swedish). He could practice Swedish during an exchange with Sweden where he performed for first time in Talangjakten '07 (given in Danderyd's Fribergaskolan on April 27th, 2007) "You'll Get Yours", a cover song from Melanie C. Between the fifteen contestants Danny got the fifth place.
In September of the same year he would get the offer from his producer to record a new single. This was "Take Me Home", a sweet ballad with electric guitars in the instrumental. Very few copies were sold because of the very bad, short and low promotion given.
At the beginning of February, 2008 he got in the Eurovision Song Contest 2008 casting for Spain with the poppy R&B song "Everybody Feels (Tell Me What I Want)" in Spanish and English. This could have been the first time that Spanish entry would have more than one sentence in English, but the famous comedian Chikiliquatre was very promoted on TV and became winner to perform in Belgrade.
Danny has also been writing since 2007 a diary-book, planned to be published called "El Diario de Danny" (Danny's Diary).
