Dannebrog is a village in Howard County, Nebraska, United States. It is part of the Grand Island, Nebraska Micropolitan Statistical Area. The population was 352 at the 2000 census. It was featured in a CBS Sunday Morning segment in the mid-1990s. Dannebrog is named after the flag of Denmark.

As of the census[1] of 2000, there were 352 people, 136 households, and 96 families residing in the village. The population density was 987.2 people per square mile (377.5/km²). There were 152 housing units at an average density of 426.3/sq mi (163.0/km²). The racial makeup of the village was 97.44% White, 0.57% African American, 0.28% Native American, 0.28% Pacific Islander, 0.28% from other races, and 1.14% from two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 2.27% of the population.
There were 136 households out of which 27.9% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 53.7% were married couples living together, 12.5% had a female householder with no husband present, and 29.4% were non-families. 25.0% of all households were made up of individuals and 12.5% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older. The average household size was 2.59 and the average family size was 2.98.
In the village the population was spread out with 27.0% under the age of 18, 6.8% from 18 to 24, 24.7% from 25 to 44, 25.0% from 45 to 64, and 16.5% who were 65 years of age or older. The median age was 39 years. For every 100 females there were 92.3 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there were 91.8 males.
The median income for a household in the village was $28,125, and the median income for a family was $31,250. Males had a median income of $21,818 versus $21,875 for females. The per capita income for the village was $12,913. About 9.7% of families and 14.0% of the population were below the poverty line, including 13.9% of those under age 18 and 14.5% of those age 65 or over.
