Danilia insperata is a species of sea snail, a marine gastropod mollusc, in the family Trochidae, the top snails.

This species is endemic to the North Island of New Zealand.
[edit] Shell description
The shell is elevated-turbinate, with rounded whorls, of light build, and crisply crisply cancellated, the spiral cords the stronger. The outer lip is strengthened by a rounded plait. Coloration is pale-straw, with faint reddish-brown blotches on the apertural fold.
The maximum shell height is 13 mm, and the maximum width is 10.5 mm.
