Daniel Oduber Quirós International Airport (Spanish: Aeropuerto Internacional Daniel Oduber Quirós) (IATA: LIR, ICAO: MRLB), formerly known as Liberia International Airport, is one of the four international airports in Costa Rica. The airport is located in the city of Liberia in Guanacaste Province. It serves as a hub for the affluent tourism that visits Costa Rica's Pacific coast. The airport is named for Daniel Oduber Quirós who served as president of Costa Rica from 1974 to 1978. The most common airplanes to visit this airport are 737's and 757's.

[edit] New infrastructure
The government of Costa Rica has announced that the companies that want to operate and remodel the airport can now present the documents for the approval of projects. The plans for the future terminal depends on the new company, but the terminal will have a main building with gates and jetways, duty-free shops and restaurants, and is expected to have a similar size or that it will be bigger than the Juan Santamaría International Airport.
