Daniel Letterle is an American film and television actor best known for playing the lead roles in the feature films The Mostly Unfabulous Social Life of Ethan Green and Camp.

Letterle was born in Northfield[1] (or possibly Cleveland[2]) Ohio, and raised in Northfield[1], and attended Nordonia High School in Macedonia. Prior to graduating in June 1997[1], he moved from Ohio to New York City to become an actor at 17[3]. He attended the American Musical & Dramatic Academy in New York City. He supported himself with odd jobs such as waiting tables, building sets at the Metropolitan Opera, and selling tires.[2][1]
After "four or five years" in New York[2], he traveled to Europe and performed as a dancer in a production of West Side Story at the La Scala in Milan, Italy. In Berlin, Germany, he played "Doody" in Grease.[1][3]
His big break came in the 2003 independent movie Camp, playing the lead character "Vlad". In 2004, he went on to co-star in an MTV movie, Monster Island, with Carmen Electra. He also starred as the title character in the gay romantic comedy The Mostly Unfabulous Social Life of Ethan Green, released in 2005.
He returned to Ohio in 2006.[1]
