Daniel Kandi (born 1983) is a Trance producer from Denmark currently living in Aalborg.^[1] He began producing trance in 2000 under the name DJ Mendoza. In 2006 Kandi produced a track called Breathe, which was signed at the UK trance record label Anjunabeats in June 2006. The follow up Child / Nova was released in January 2007, and both tracks were featured on the compilation Anjunabeats Worldwide 01.

Kandi and Anders D. Mikkelsen (also known as Stalker) forms the trance music duo Aurelius. They released their first single, titled Sorrow, with Jamie P and vocals by David Hughes. It was released in September 2005 on the Dutch label Intrenze Records.

He also works with Fritz Niko under the aliases Weekend Wonderz and Hit 'n' Run with a more commercial club sound. They have been remixing danish acts such as Infernal, Inez, tv-2 and Thomas Helmig.

Every 2nd and 4th Monday Kandi hosts his own radio show entitled Always Alive on Afterhours FM from 19-21 CET.^[2]

Daniel Kandi's third release was Make Me Believe / I Found The Way, which was released on the 2nd July 2007. Furthermore Make Me Believe was featured on the compilation series entitled Anjunabeats Volume Five.

On the 15th November 2007 Armin van Buuren selected Luke Warner & Mat Lock - Deep Psychosis (Daniel Kandi's Cure Mix) as the "Tune Of The Week" on A State Of Trance Episode 326. Deep Psychosis incl. Daniel Kandi's Cure Mix was released on the 10th December 2007 on DJSA Records, after the track was signed to DJSA from users on HarderFaster. A remix competition for this track also appeared on the site.

Future plans includes an artist album, collaborations with Simon Patterson and Robert Nickson who he visited in the Netherlands. Furthermore the next single on Anjunabeats is being prepared.^[3]^[4]
