Daniel F. Tiemann

Daniel Fawcett Tiemann was the mayor of New York from 1858 to 1860. He was a founding trustee of the Cooper Union for the Advancement of Science and Art.^[1] Tiemann was an industrialist, who lived in Manhattanville where he owned D.F. Tiemann & Company Color Works. He was nephew-in-law of Peter Cooper.^[2]
