Daniel Ewing, (born 3 June 1985), is an Australian actor. He currently appears on Seven Network's Home and Away series as Reuben Humphries. Ewing was born in Manly and grew up in Forestville near Sydney, Australia and is the eldest of four children. He attended Marist College North Shore where he performed in musicals years throughout high school. He is the first ever professional actor in his family and trained with John Gibson in Sydney's North Shore.
At 6 feet and 180 pounds, Ewing is an accomplished sportsman. He played Representative Basketball for Manly-Warringah for nine years. This period included two NSW state championships and tours of the U.S. and Canada. Ewing represented his school in basketball, soccer, rugby, athletics, swimming and volleyball. Daniel Ewing has played soccer for Forest Killarney Football club since the age of six.

Ewing has appeared in a number of television roles other than as Reuben in Home and Away. These roles include the boyfriend in the Amy Pearson video “Don’t Miss You” distributed by Sony, in the Lara Smith television program Grand Smoke in the role of Vincent, and as the host of the pilot for “Go 4 It” from Warner Bros..
He has also appeared in Superman Returns and in Blue Water High in a recurring guest role. Ewing’s range extends to theatre, where he has performed as Judas in Jesus Christ Superstar and in other performances by director Anthony McDonald including Godspell and Les Miserables.

Ewing has two tattoos on his right arm. The first is a Southern Cross as a mark of respect to his ancestors who fought in two World Wars. The second says Carpe Diem, which directly translates as "Seize the Day". Ewing’s interpretation is "Have a crack".
