Daniel Cruz Sánchez

Daniel Cruz Sánchez (born 1976) a singer/songwriter born in New Jersey but raised in Dominican Republic. His father is Cuban and his mother Dominican. He was part of a well-known Dominican group called Rikarena, until he decided to start his own solo career. In 2003 he released his first self produced album Por un beso and was nominated as "Best new artist" in "Premios Lo Nuestro".

In 2005 as a songwriter Daniel received his first ASCAP award (American Society of Composers, Authors and Publishers) for the song Perdidos performed by the famous Dominican duet Monchy y Alexandra, later that year he also received a Billboard award for the same song.

Daniel resides in Miami where he is currently composing and producing for other artists and working in his next album that will be release in 2008.
