Daniel Brocklebank (born 21 December 1979) is a British actor. He received an award from the Screen Actors Guild for his role in the multi-award winning movie Shakespeare in Love.
He has appeared in various TV shows such as Down to Earth (BBC), Born and bred (BBC), Edd Stone is dead (BBC 3/Channel 4), Casualty (BBC), The Bill (ITV) and played Ivan Jones in ITV's Emmerdale between the beginning of 2005 to the end of 2006.
Brocklebank was born in a rural area and as such he was encouraged to ride horses and do "outdoor things". However, he always got a thrill whenever he was on stage or saw himself on screen which is why he became an actor. His hobbies include playing the piano, singing and music in general.
He has worked with the Royal Shakespeare Company in productions of As You Like It, Titus Andronicus, The Tamer Tamed and Lord of the Flies. His other theatre credits include: John Rutherford in Rutherford and Son at Manchester's Royal Exchange, and John Honyman in Cressida, directed by Nick Hytner for the Almeida Theatre in London.
In 2008 he stars in One Night In November, a new play by Alan Pollock, at the Belgrade Theatre, and in Big Love at the Abbey Theatre in Dublin.
