Daniel Borel

Born in 1950, Daniel Borel is a Swiss engineer who graduated from the École Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne and Stanford University with a Master's degree in Computer Science. He co-founded Logitech International S.A. in 1981; today he is the Chairman.
Daniel Borel is currently Chairman of the Board of Logitech International since 1992. Cofounder of Logitech, M. Borel has been its CEO from 1992 till 1998. Prior to the creation of Logitech, he was product manager for Bobst SA in Lausanne. He sits today at the Julius Bäer and Phonak Board. He was designated "business-angel" of the year by Bilanz in 2000. Mr Borel holds a Diploma in Physics from the Federal Institute of Technology (EPFL) in Lausanne (1973) and an MS from Stanford University in Computer Science (1977). Mr Borel is also Dr. H.C. of EPFL.
