Daniel Bogdanovic (born March 26, 1980 in Misurata, Libya) is a Maltese professional footballer playing for Italian side Cisco Roma, where he plays as a striker.
[edit] Playing career
In the 2006/07 season Bogdanovic scored 31 goals winning him the Golden Boot and also the Maltese Player of the Year. He integrated well in Maltese society and, unlike most foreign-born Malta-based footballers, is very fluent in the Maltese language.
Bogdanovic spent a week on trial at Premiership side Watford in January 2007.
Following Marsaxlokk's triumph in the Maltese Premier League, and the end of the players contract, Bogdanovic decided not to renew and instead decided to search for a club elsewhere in continental Europe.
On Wednesday June 13, 2007, Marsaxlokk's manager Brian Talbot revealed that Bogdanovic would be going on trial to English club Crystal Palace.
He also had a trial with Norwegian side Brann Bergen. As from maltafootball.com, Daniel Bogdanovic joined Italian Serie C1 side U.S. Foggia for a trial. He was part of the squad during their training camp in Chatillon and stayed there till the end of the training camp on August 12th.
Following weeks of various different trials, Bogdanovic joined Italian side Cisco Roma, to form a partnership with Paolo Di Canio.
[edit] International career
Although born in Libya, Bogdanovic had represented Malta internationally making 20 appearances and scoring once.
