Daniel Auster (Hebrew: דניאל אוסטר‎, 1893-1962) was Mayor of Jerusalem in the final years of the British Mandate of Palestine, and the first mayor of Jerusalem under an independent State of Israel. Before that, he was Deputy Mayor under Raghib Nashashibi. He was also a member of the National Assembly for the General Zionists party and a signatory of Israel's Declaration of Independence. He was against the internationalization of Jerusalem and presented his views on this matter to the United Nations in 1947.
