Daniş Tunalıgil

Daniş Tunalıgil was a Turkish diplomat. He was assassinated by ASALA in 1975 during his duty as the Turkish ambassador to Austria.[1]
On October 22, 1975, three gunmen armed with automatic weapons entered the office of the ambassador in the Turkish Embassy in Vienna, Austria after disarming the security guards at the gate. They asked Daniş Tunalıgil whether he is the ambassador, and killed him following his affirmation. The three gunmen left the embassy quickly and escaped by a car.[2]
He was a graduate of Galatasaray High School in 1933.[3]
