Daniël de Clercq

Daniël (Daan) de Clercq (August 21, 1854 – December 15, 1931) was a Dutch socialist and activist. He propagated land nationalisation and was a an activist for vegetarianism. In 1898 he succeeded Felix Ortt as chairman of the NVB, the Dutch Vegetarian Society (Dutch: Nederlandse Vegetariërsbond). The NVB is an organisation dedicated to serving the interests of Dutch vegetarians. He published numerous brochures and articles. He was also candidate of the SDAP (Dutch socialist party)^[1]^[2]
