[edit] Outline of the game
When George's friend, Katie Firestone, invites Nancy to Deception Island in the San Juan Islands of Washington State in the Pacific Northwest for a whale-watching excursion, the sleuth arrives to find Katie's tour boat heavily vandalized. A threatening note warns Katie to "stop meddling". As Nancy investigates, she learns that the town of Snake Horse Harbor is up in arms over an orphaned orca whale that recently appeared in the channel, and has apparently decided to stay.
No one has yet figured out what pod she's from, and it seems that everyone has a different idea of what should be done about her. But one person seems to stand in way of everyone's plans: a meddling Katie Firestone! As Nancy begins to question her allies, a simple vandalism case begins to unfold into something more mysterious and sinister.
As soon as Nancy investigates, she uncovers a dark plot concerning someone in Snake Horse Harbor, the orca does not appear what it seems to be and someone isn't who they are. Nancy gets to the bottom of this one with a orca problem. Everyone has a secret to hide!
[edit] Characters
Katie Firestone
Katie is a marine biologist, and owns a whale watching tour. She is George Fayne's friend; she is very friendly and enthusiastic about her work. Katie likes to talk when she has time, and admits that she and Holt aren't exactly friends.
Holt Scotto
Holt is an influential community member and veteran fisherman who won't take nonsense from anybody. He is a good storyteller and is running for public office.
Andy Jason
Andy is a whale watching tour owner, just like Katie. He is nice, but an aggressive businessman. A stickler for rules, he has offered to hire Katie and buy her boat just to own a larger tour chain on the coast, which she has refused several times.
Jenna Deblin
Jenna is a conservationalist and the owner of the local coffee shop. She is usually very friendly, but when it comes to Katie and her research she gets pretty nasty. Jenna is passionate about ecology and nature.
Hilda Swenson
An unseen character that Nancy talks to on the phone. Everyone thinks she is crazy because she is always sending messages in bottles from another island.

Nancy has just arrived in Snake Horse Harbor, where the residents are wondering what to do with an orphaned baby Orca. Based on the way she is being treated by the locals, Nancy soon suspects that something more is going on, so she begins to investigate.
Following a series of clues left by Hilda Swenson, a hermit who is never seen in-game, Nancy discovers that the Orca is trained to recover goods from sunken ships. One of the residents of Snake Horse Harbor had been using the orca to bring up things from sunken ships. The criminal is arrested, and the orca is allowed to return to its pod.
