Dan Youra

Dan Youra is a writer, illustrator and entrepreneur from Port Hadlock in the Olympic Peninsula of the U.S. state of Washington.

He is president and CEO of Dan Youra Studios, and acting president of the Olympic Peninsula Travel Association.

He is a two-time George Award winner for Washington's Best Visitor Guide.

In 1996, he changed the name of his company from Olympic Publishing to Dan Youra Studios to avoid a legal dispute with the U.S. Olympic Committee. [1]

Youra also offers a service that sends Washington state ferry schedules as celphone text messages for a fee.[2]
