Dan Vandal born in 1960 is a Manitoba politician. He ran unsuccessfully for Mayor of Winnipeg in 2004, following the resignation of Glen Murray.

A former professional boxer who, in 1983, was the #1 ranked middleweight in Canada, Vandal later attended the University of Manitoba where he obtained a degree in social work.

Vandal served as a City Councillor, representing the ward of St. Boniface from 1995, to 2004. He was also appointed Deputy Mayor of Winnipeg on November 5, 2003. He gained a reputation as a strong supporter of Mayor Murray's initiatives.

On May 11, 2004, Murray announced his resignation as mayor of Winnipeg, stepping down in mid-term to run for a seat in the House of Commons.

Murray was still popular when he left municipal office, and Vandal ran on Murray's record. Vandal received 55,644 votes in the 2004 mayoralty race, finishing second to Sam Katz.

On October 25, 2006, Vandal was re-elected as city councillor in St. Boniface, defeating the incumbent Franco Magnifico.
