Dan P. Kelly (sportscaster)

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Daniel Patrick Kelly was an NHL broadcaster for HDNet and the Chicago Blackhawks on Comcast Sports Net Chicago. He previously was the original play-by-play voice for the Columbus Blue Jackets on FSN Ohio and also served as a radio play-by-play voice for the St. Louis Blues.

Dan is the son of legendary St. Louis Blues broadcaster Dan Kelly, Sr., the nephew of hockey broadcaster Hal Kelly and the younger brother of current St. Louis Blues TV broadcaster John Kelly.

Kelly was largely unpopular as the Blackhawks television play-by-play announcer, and on May 6, 2008, he was fired. [1]

Dan is technically not a junior. His given name is Daniel Patrick Kelly, while his father was Patrick Daniel Kelly. [2]
