From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Dan Naturman (born October 20, 1969) in Stamford, Connecticut, is an American stand-up comedian.
[edit] Career
Naturman was the favorite of celebrity "judges" Drew Carey and Brett Butler on Last Comic Standing 2, and caused a minor controversy when not selected as one of the final 10 contestants. He was subsequently advanced to the New York City showcase of season 6, and won a ticket to the semi-finals.
His performing style is said to be reminiscent of vaudeville era comedians although he discusses modern topics such as internet dating and terrorism. Dan is a graduate of the University of Pennsylvania and the Fordham University School of Law. He began performing stand up comedy while at Fordham and never actually practiced law.[citation needed]
Naturman has appeared on Late Show with David Letterman and Late Night with Conan O'Brien as well as his own Comedy Central Presents special.
He is a staff writer for dailycomedy.com, a site where professional and amateur comedians post new jokes frequently.
On June 5th 2008, Dan was booed off the stage at the Opie and Anthony Animation Festival. Dan proceeded to quote poetry and Shakespeare until his set was up.
