Dan Mintz

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Dan Mintz grew up in Anchorage, Alaska and moved to Los Angeles, CA to pursue a career in stand-up comedy. He landed his first writing job at Comedy Central's "Crank Yankers," then worked on "Last Call" with Carson Daly.[1] He is a writer for The Andy Milonakis Show, Human Giant, and Lucky Louie.[2] He is also a stand-up comedian.[3]

On May 15, 2007, Mintz appeared on Late Night with Conan O'Brien. He is known for his extremely deadpan delivery, keeping his eyes fixed straight ahead and never looking toward the camera or audience. He is one of a few stand-up comedians (along with Henny Youngman, Demetri Martin and Mitch Hedberg) to use non sequitur one-liners in his act.

In 2007 Mintz's standup comedy appeared on the comedy compilation CD Comedy Death-Ray (album).

On February 8th, 2008 Dan won the 2008 Effinfunny.com Award for Rawest/Dirtiest Joke for his string of masturbation jokes.

Mintz recently taped a special for Comedy Central Presents, which aired on March 28, 2008.
