Dan Hipgrave (born Daniel Hipgrave, August 5, 1975, in Brighton, England) was one of the guitarists with Toploader, a briefly popular British indie rock band.
Hipgrave left Sussex University in 1996, where he was studying psychiatric nursing while working in a nursing home, to devote his full-time energies towards his band. In 1998, they signed a six album deal with S2 Records.
Despite a million selling debut album, sales fell rapidly afterwards, and Toploader's second LP met with a mixed reception. The label soon dropped the band from its roster, and the group disbanded thereafter. Hipgrave has turned his attention towards TV and radio work, making a number of appearances in both media.
Hipgrave married TV presenter Gail Porter in 2000 and the couple had one daughter together called Honey, but separated in 2004. In August 2007, Hipgrave announced his engagement to television and radio presenter Lynsey Horn.
