Daniel G. Doornink (born February 1, 1956 in Yakima, Washington) is a former professional American football running back in the NFL who played in eight seasons for the New York Giants and Seattle Seahawks. He ran for 123 yards in a playoff win over the Los Angeles Raiders in 1984. He is now a M.D. and practices Internal Medicine in Yakima, WA. He has four children by the name of Heidi, Danielle, Tyler, and Grace, as well as a wife by the name of Sharon. During a 2007 Seattle Seahawks preseason game, he was given the chance to raise the 12th man flag at Qwest Field.
