[edit] Moved

I moved your wikitanger page to your user page- it would have been deleted since it was in "main space" which is reserved for content that's part of the encyclopedia proper. Friday (talk) 21:26, 24 October 2006 (UTC)

Well, actually I thought it would make a good article to be honest. I've been around a while so I know certain jokey things aren't really suitable for Wikipedia, but I've seen other articles on here with the same kind of half funny/half informative feel to them. Articles that would normally be tagged with {{humor}} which I forgot to add. One that comes to mind is Wikipedia:Lamest edit wars. If you don't mind I'd like the matter to be discussed further, as I wrote the article with the intention of people actually reading it. Thank you for your message. [edit] For your information

Edits like this one are completely unacceptable, and could get you blocked or banned. Mak (talk) 16:46, 27 November 2006 (UTC)

Really? Well I'm new here, so thank you for bringing that to my attention. Damien Shiest 19:54, 27 November 2006 (UTC)
Some users have noticed some more edits which are somewhat problematic. In this edit you direct a link from political correctness to newspeak. This is a form of POV editing, inserting your opinions about "political correctness". Please see WP:NPOV for more on editing in a neutral way. You made a similar edit to Acrylic glass. It seems like sometimes you are attempting to be funny, but your edits are not appropriate to the main space of Wikipedia. This edit in particular was a gross violation of WP:NPA (no personal attacks). Using such inflammatory language is not a good way to make your point, and if you continue communicating in such a way, you will be blocked from editing. If you have any questions, feel free to ask me. Mak (talk) 21:57, 18 December 2006 (UTC)
You're accusing me of inserting my POV? After one of my latest edits where I saved our core beliefs by bringing attention to a highly POV image caption? Damien Shiest 03:13, 19 December 2006 (UTC)
I'm saying the edits which I just pointed out are POV. That doesn't mean that none of your edits are NPOV, it means that in my opinion the edits which I pointed out are POV. Mak (talk) 03:32, 19 December 2006 (UTC)
That poses an interesting question, though; what's NPOV when one person's POV sees another POV as NPOV but another POV sees NPOV as POV? I'm confusing myself. :S Damien Shiest 23:52, 19 December 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Wtf?

Can someone kindly tell me why I was blocked, other than "user is fuckwad"? Damien Shiest 01:48, 20 December 2006 (UTC)

  • I apologize; that was a poor choice of words on my part. You were blocked for repeated use of offensive and inflammatory language despite warnings; consequently, I felt it would be amusingly ironic if my block summary used offensive and inflammatory language. DS 02:42, 20 December 2006 (UTC)
    • Offensive and inflammatory language? You mean this [1]? You call that "offensive and inflammatory"? Exactly how is that "offensive and inflammatory"? I never said I agreed with the stereotype and I never said I thought it applied to all black people. I explicitly made this clear, too. Furthermore, I got the "distinction between black people and niggers" bit from Chris Rock, a black man. Damien Shiest 03:03, 20 December 2006 (UTC)
