From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Damon Wilson is a freelance session drummer/musical director/programmer, living in north London. He was born in Sydney Australia, where he started playing drums when he was 13.

His live and studio playing credits include James Brown, Sugababes, Ben Parker, Bon Jovi, Joss Stone, Patti LaBelle, Busted, McFly, Nerina Pallot, Matt Willis, Sophie Ellis Bextor, Luke Toms, Ross Copperman and Paddy Casey. The self-proclaimed 'obsessive drummer' has worked with producers such as Steve Power, Jeremy Wheatley, Hugh Padgham, Adam F, Chris Sheldon and Marius DeVries.

Damon first established his reputation for hard hitting pop-punk chops in arenas across the UK/USA/Europe and Japan with multi-platinum sellers Busted in 2003/04. He was discovered by them after supporting Busted on their 2003 theatre tour, drumming for Maria Willson.

He is an endorsee for drum company Gretsch, saying - "My Gretsch tubs are the only drums I've played that can cover every style!"
