Damodar Das Arora

Damodar Das Arora (Punjabi: ਦਮੋਦਰ ਦਾਸ ਅਰੋੜਾ, دمودر داس اروڑا) was a famous Punjabi poet, belonging to the Jhang District. His cause of fame is the Qissa Heer Ranjha. He was the first ever Punjabi language poet who composed the famous legend of Heer Ranjha. He was contemporary to that age and had watched the incident getting ahead, as he has also said at one place.
