Damn Skippy

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Damn Skippy were a ska band, formed in the city of Leeds in March 2004. Practising frequently in a dank Hyde Park basement, it took just a couple of months before they had a load of songs written and had started gigging frenetically.

[edit] Gigs

The band loved gigs, and were well known for their energetic performances. Since their inception, they had the pleasure of playing with many UK ska/punk luminaries, such as Sonic Boom Six, Catch it Kebabs, Random Hand, Roddy Radiation & The Dead Pets and also exciting and glamorous Americans, like MU330 and The AKAs.

[edit] Gloriously Shambolic

After selling quite a few copies of their home produced demos at gigs, the band recorded the EP Gloriously Shambolic in Manchester with skapunk uber producer Tim G in February 2006.

[edit] The Future

They planned to record more tunes properly around the same time in 2007, and till then attempt to keep playing and amusing crowds in as many places as possible.
