Damijan Šinigoj

Damijan Šinigoj, writer, translator, editor, publicist and scriptwriter. Born in Novo mesto (Slovenia) in 1964. Member of Slovene Writers' Association (www.drustvo-dsp.si), Slovene Translators' Association (www.dskp-drustvo.si), chief editor at GOGA Publishing House (www.goga.si) and Park newspaper (www.park-on.net). Columnist at MAMA magazine (www.mama.si).
He wrote two novels, »They Shoot The Soldiers, Don’t They?« (Amalietti, Ljubljana, 1991) and »Unfired Rounds« (Amalietti & Slon, Ljubljana, 1994) and a collection of short stories »Father’s Cosy Nook« (GOGA, Novo mesto, 2003). In 2000 from Croatian language he translated a novel »Short Trip« by Ratko Cvetnic, in 2001 from Bosnian language a novel »Witness« by Zilhad Kljucanin, in 2003 from Serbian language a novel »Swimming Out« by Veselin Markovic, in 2006 from Croatian language »Things I Kept Inside Me« by Aleksandra Kardum. After his script in 2002 a documentary film »When The War Knocks« was filmed.
