Damien Pottinger (born January 17, 1982 in Scarborough, Ontario) is a professional soccer player currently plays for the Orlando Sharks in the Major Indoor Soccer League.
After playing college soccer with Duquesne University, Pottinger was selected second overall by Edmonton Aviators in the 2004 A-League draft. Though he never signed a professional contract with the club. In 2005 Pottinger signed with the Pittsburgh Riverhounds of the USL Second Division where he played 14 games and scored 3 goals.
In 2006 Pottinger was spotted by Toronto Lynx Head Coach Duncan Wilde and was offered a contract. He made his debut on Sunday June 4, 2006 against Virginia Beach Mariners which ended in a 0-0 draw. On June 15 Pottinger scored his first goal against Miami FC. With the Lynx, Pottinger formed a strong partnership with Kevin Jeffrey up front where he scored 5 goals in 21 games. He helped the Lynx to a 10 home game undefeaded streak.
Pottinger helped the Lynx reach the final of the Open Canada Cup which the team lost 2-0 against Ottawa St. Anthony Italia.
