Damian Grimaldi is a fictional character on the American soap opera As the World Turns. He is portrayed by Paolo Seganti.

Damian Grimaldi was the Italian guy Lily Snyder fell in love with. Though she was also in love with Holden Snyder, she eventually married Damian as her first husband. She got pregnant and gave birth to a boy named Luke. Then, Damians plane crashed and he was presumed dead. Lily moved on and became engaged to Holden. Damian suddenly showed up again and told he never died and spent a year in a monastery. Now he returned to get Lily and his son back. However, Lily wasn't in love with him anymore, but Damian still wanted to have his son. Damian took Luke away and headed to Malta. Holden came after him and an explosion was the result. Holden and Luke died while Damian could get away. Lily didn't believe in the deaths of her husband and son and didn't stop searching for their bodies. Damian helped her and the two were found in the end. Damian realized that Luke now belonged to the Snyders, so let his son live in Oakdale and left the town himself.
In 2006, Lily found Damian on her doorway. Damian had returned to see his son and to pass over the ancient Grimaldi Ring. Lily told him Luke was gay and this was for Damian a reason to stay in Oakdale. In the next few months, Damian has tried to "reprogramm" his son, but Luke refused to listen to his father. Damian gave up, at least, that's how he made it look. He went over to plan B and made Luke believe that Lily wanted to send him to a "becoming straight again" camp. Luke, who knew his mother still didn't deal with the fact that he was gay, believed Damian and pushed his mother down the stairs in a moment of rage. Lily ended up in the hospital and Damian saw what his actions did to everyone. He wanted out, but a man he'd been working with didn't agree and locked up Lucy Montgomery, a close friend of Damian. It all ended well, but after Luke found out Lily never wanted to send him to camp he became furious with Damian. He told his father that he no longer was a part of his life and refused to talk to him again. Damian knew he couldn't make up for this and left Oakdale once again.
