Damián Escudero is an Argentine football midfielder. He was born on April 20, 1987, in the city of Rosario in the Santa Fe Province of Argentina. He currently plays for Vélez Sársfield of the Primera Division Argentina. His nickname is "El Pichi."

Escudero made his full debut for Vélez in a 1-0 defeat to Newell's Old Boys on March 4, 2006. He found himself at the centre of controversy at the end of 2006 when Vélez Sársfield refused to release him for the South American Under-20 Championship.

When the Copa Libertadores 2007 started it quickly became apparent why his club were so keen to protect him from burn-out. The dynamism Escudero brought to left midfield made him a key part of the side. He was strong in possession and his surges often ended with accurate, well-struck shots.

He hit 4 goals in the Copa Libertadores 2007.

In 2007 Escudero was picked to join the Argentina Under-20 squad to compete in the 2007 FIFA U-20 World Cup in Canada.
