[edit] Career

[edit] UE Figueres

Damià's first club was his local club of Figueres who he played for during the 2003/2004 season. He played 19 league matches and scored 3 goals.

[edit] Barcelona

Damià made his La Liga debut for Barcelona against Athletic Bilbao on 30 October 2004. Damià, unfortunately, could never press his way into the Barcelona first team on a consistent basis and made it clear to Barcelona that he was looking for new opportunities. He made 9 first team league appearances and 21 appearances for Barcelona B.

[edit] Racing Santander

Damià joined Racing Santander from Barcelona on a two year loan deal. Damiá enjoyed a successful season although injury prevented him from becoming a consistent first teamer for Racing.

[edit] Real Betis

During the summer of 2006, Real Betis signed Damià on a five year contract for €1.0 million. Although Racing Santander had agreed with Barcelona that Damià would stay with them on a two-year long arrangement, Racing decided not to block the move. A serious hip injury meant that Damiá was unregistered for the Betis squad and unable to make his debut in the 2006/2007 season. June 2007 saw the news both Damiá and Betis fans were hoping for. Having completed medical tests in Italy on his hip, doctors felt he had made a complete recovery and would be able to continue his footballing career. Damià competed in his first competitive game in 16 months, when Betis defeated RCD Mallorca on September 30, 2007 in La Liga.
