Dame Enid Bibby
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Dame Enid Bibby (born 1951 in Sheffield, Yorkshire)[1] is a British dame who gained notability for her role as headteacher at Wood Green High School in Wednesbury, West Midlands, England. Her success at Wood Green led to her becoming a Dame in the Queen's Birthday Honours of 2004.[2]
When Bibby was appointed at Wood Green in September 1998, 31% of the school's pupils were gaining 5 or more A*-C grades at GCSE level. By 2003, however, 63% of the school's GCSE pupils were achieving this standard, and it was the highest-ranking secondary school in Sandwell.
She retired in July 2006, and was replaced by Mr Pank Patel.
