Damascene (pigeon)
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
The Damascene is a breed of fancy pigeon developed over many years of selective breeding.[1] Damascenes, along with other varieties of domesticated pigeons, are all descendants from the Rock Pigeon (Columba livia). The breed is thought to have originated in Damascus, Syria and hence its name.[2]
