[edit] Citation needed

I added the germ of the current carpet industry passage a few years back before the whole referencing thing took off at wikipedia. I had a reference at the time, but I have no idea what it is anymore. Is anyone able to reference any of those extensive and uncited facts in that section? Psychobabble 00:01, 24 August 2006 (UTC)

[edit] The demographics section is wrong

According to the US Census Bureau, the 2003 estimate of Dalton's population is 30,341[1]. The figure in the article looks more like a population estimate for Whitfield County as a whole. Also, people of Hispanic and Latino origin account for 40.2% of the Dalton population, not 60.19%.

"Tens of thousands" is also false, since 40.2% of 30,341 is about 12,197. That wording might be accurate for all of Whitfield county; the 2006 estimate of the Whitfield County population is 92,999[2] and 28.2% of that is about 26,226, which I guess is technically "tens of thousands."

[edit] Environmental Issues

I'm not sure why something is listed in the opening section about environmental issues with Dow & Dalton Utilities. It should probably be moved elsewhere or removed entirely. Perhaps put it on Dow Chemicals or Dalton Utilities entries? —Preceding unsigned comment added by NWGaEagle (talkcontribs) 14:44, 4 April 2008 (UTC)
