This page is not purely biographical; it is a documentation of the works of this academician (a rather exhaustive one at that). Notability comes from the list following the short amount of biographical information. This page does service to Professor Hample's career & works, it is not negative in any way, provides relevent information about this individual and also direct references to his work. The only thing in need of resolution is the disputed information and the copyright of the image. -- Shrout1 23:57, 11 October 2007 (UTC)

He is probably notable, if the academic record is approximately correct. But the claim of deliberate mis-statement should make an interesting discussion. But it is arguably less than responsible for you to have entered it without trying to verify the information. As a minimum, try google Scholar for the lit of publications. The innovative sidenote seems to be something in the line of research of the person and seems to be producing a sort of Russell's paradox. Shyamal 12:24, 12 October 2007 (UTC)

Good points both of you; I don't wiki very much (as is obvious by my entry) and I simply wanted to correct a factual error in this article, as was mentioned by the professor himself. I would also be very interested in getting a picture of the professor up, since this is a biographical article. Clearly, my attempt to post a picture was invalid; the picture's source, however, was off of a page hosted by one of Prof. Hample's former universities. I don't know what the implications are for copyright due to that source. -- Shrout1 22:41, 23 October 2007 (UTC)
