[edit] Relationship

Regarding this paragraph: "Some believe that Dalamar and Raistlin's relationship was beyond a relationship of apprentice and teacher, due to Dalamar's words to Kitiara about Raistlin, and how he insists on calling Raistlin shalafi, the elven word for teacher.", which words? Also, if he calls him shalafi, then it is a relationship of apprentice and teacher, don't you think? -- ReyBrujo 04:54, 18 September 2005 (UTC)

I agree ReyBrujo and have thus removed that line. Opinions concerning a relationships beyond teacher/apprentice seem speculation to me. --RougeMacabre 00:49, 21 May 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Typo leads to incorrect description

In "Test of the Twins" I believe there is a huge typo in describing Dalamar. When he approaches Tanis Half-Elven for the first time, Tanis mistakes Dalamar for Raistlin because of the black robes, but then notices that this wizard was a full head and shoulders *taller* than Raistlin. I believe that should have been *shorter*. Dalamar is an elf so his height would be around five to five and a half feet. Were he so much taller than Raistin (Raistlin, most likely the same height as his twin, is either six feet tall as told in Chronicles, or 6'4" as told in Legends), then this would put Dalamar at minimum, seven feet tall. That's too far fetched, especially for a dark elf. Add that to the fact that were it true, no one is listed as ever "marveling" at Dalamar's insane tallness. That being said, I edited Dalamar's description from "tall" to "tall for an elf". I think that way the article is safe either way. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Soulforge19 (talkcontribs) .

That would be original research, which is forbidden by Wikipedia. Maybe they are comparing Dalamar with the scooped version of Raistlin. -- ReyBrujo 17:43, 1 July 2006 (UTC)
Even though Caramon and Raistlin are twins, they are very different in physical structure. Raistlin was, probably, shorter than Caramon was. DoomsDay349 14:56, 10 July 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Merging Shalafi

I think we ought merge Shalafi into this article, there is practically no more information to add to that article. DoomsDay349 18:20, 15 August 2006 (UTC)

No problem. Not sure if it should be included in the Raistlin or the Dalamar article, but for sure it does not require an article by itself. -- ReyBrujo 02:45, 17 August 2006 (UTC)
Another stub bites the dust. DoomsDay349 04:08, 17 August 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Dark Elf

"though he has now been made a dark elf and thus exiled for using evil magic"

This is an inaccurate statement, in the books an elf could be exiled for doing a variety of things, including murder, worship of a non White/Good god, or the practice of either Neutral or Evil magic. Changing the word thus to for would remove this misrepresentation. Steam7369 (talk) 10:36, 22 January 2008 (UTC)Steam7369 1-22-08

I mildly disagree in interpretation of the text. It is saying he was exiled because he was a dark elf, and deemed a dark elf for using evil magic. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 76.125.9.201 (talk • contribs)
