The Dally in the Alley is an annual festival of live music, visual arts, performance, food and beer that takes place in the alleys of Midtown Detroit, Michigan the weekend after Labor Day. The festival began in 1977 as a small art fair and evolved slowly to its current offering, acquiring a name for the first time in 1982. Locals often refer to it as simply the "Dally".
