[edit] The School Today
In 2004, the school was the recipient of the No Child Left Behind Blue Ribbon Award. Dallas Christian School is one of only four private schools in the state of Texas to receive this distinguished recognition from the U.S. Department of Education and one of only 50 private schools nationally. Dallas Christian School claims to stand out among other private schools due to its special programs such as its LEAP and Scholars Lab programs that meet developmental needs. With these and other special programs, the school aims to ensure that no child is left behind.
The school is also affiliated with the Church of Christ, a reformist community of evangelical Protestants who aim to emulate Christianity as practiced by the first-century Church.
