Dallas Bar Association

The Dallas Bar Association or DBA is a professional organization providing resources for attorneys and the public in the city of Dallas, Texas. It was founded in 1873 by a group of 40 attorneys with John Good as president. An initial charter for the Association was signed in 1916 by 100 members.

The current president of the State Bar of Texas, Timothy Mountz, took office in January of 2005. In October of 2005, President George W. Bush nominated its former president (for the year 1985) Harriet Miers to the United States Supreme Court.
