Dale L. Gifford was Hewitt Associates Chief Executive Officer from 1992 and Chairman of the Board of Directors between March 2002 and his retirement in October 2006. Prior to those roles, Gifford managed Hewitt's Southwest and Midwest U.S. Market Groups, international operations, and their flexible compensation practice. He was also a manager in Hewitt's actuarial practice. Gifford joined Hewitt in 1972 as an actuary. He is a Fellow of the Society of Actuaries and a Member of the Academy of Actuaries. Gifford received a B.B.A. in Actuarial Science from the University of Wisconsin in 1972.
