[edit] Some clues for the clueless

First, regarding your message on my Talk Page [1]. Start by reading this and WP:NPA.

As you have read, I hate poeple [sic] who edit my pages.

1) They're not your pages. This isn't your playground, webserver, or property. This isn't a free webhost or form of self-expression.
2) You don't have propitiatory rights to the pages.
3) Note the message below the "save" button: If you don't want your writing to be edited mercilessly or redistributed by others, do not submit it.

I will absolutely refuse to even be kind to you should you choose to arbitrarily delete my articles in a hebetudinous manner...If you really have an issue with common sense, don't take it out on my articles I choose to create. Instead, email me at ryanmech@netzero.net. If you still have a problem with this, go away. Nobody needs you.

Not your call, as per above. If you find this difficult to grasp, there are roughly 1,000 administrators willing to offer you a reality check.

It expresses to me you possess an inferior amount og [sic] mental activity

Tortured syntax and multi-syllabic words do not make you a superior being.

--Calton | Talk 00:06, 9 November 2006 (UTC)

If you find it hard to grasp multi syllabic language, choose not to read it. They are not comprehensive, so I feel you should have no problem with them, seeing as you seem like a smart person. It is as simple as that.

I haven't the least trouble with multi-syllabic language: on the other hand, going by examples such as It expresses to me you possess an inferior amount og [sic] mental activity, you have trouble employing it. I correct Japanese translations for a living, and your prose is about that level.

Last I checked, you did not have administrator privileges, so I find your that your personal opinions do not matter.

And last time I checked, neither did you, nor do you have any ownership rights here whatsoever, so your giving orders can be classified somewhere on the scale between laughable and arrogant; I'm leaning toward the former, myself.

I choose to submit information to this site. I agree with you that it was extremely nonsensical and completely useless to anyone. But why should that matter?

Because this place has standards? Because it's immature? Because it's EXTREMELY immature to complain about being caught being immature?

If you really feel the need to be childish...

A metaphor involving pots and kettles is coming to mind, for some reason.

...go ahead and contact the administrators of this website.

They have more important things to worry about -- unless you continue to contribute nonsense and throw another fit over being caught. Then, I'm sure they'll take an active interest.

I could honestly care less.

"COULDN'T care less", Mr. Multi-Syllabic.

However, this will not change the ability of me being able to access Wikipedia and express myself on it. As you know, there are computers everywhere in this world, so it is hard to ban every IP address. I won't be so petty as to continue attempts at ruining a site like this, for the attempts would be nothing short of futile.

Been there, done that, have a Gap Store FULL of t-shirts. The "you can't stop me, I'll use a different IP address!" threat is as old as the buggy whip and just as useless.

Further, please forgive my narcissistic nature and seemingly apparent superiority complex. Perhaps I do not fully understand the rules of this site, and perhaps you have the upper hand in this debate.

True.

But I still find it painfully unethical to give people to power to deface or remove the work of other people without their consent, whether their articles are considered unuseful or anything else.

To steal from Wolfgang Pauli, that's not right, that's not even wrong: pretty much every word in that sentence is used incorrectly: "unethical"? "deface"? "painfully"? "consent"? . What it is, is quality control.

--Calton | Talk 06:41, 9 November 2006 (UTC)

Yes I used dictionary.com so as to show you the complete definitions

Uh huh, so you can use the Internet. Doesn't change a thing I said. Hint 1: what part of "used incorrectly" is giving you trouble? Hint 2: If you admit your contributions were nonsense, how have I -- how can anyone -- "impair the usefulness, value, or influence of" it? Hint 3: If you admit your contributions were nonsense, how does deleting them "not conform[] to approved standards of social or professional behavior"? Quite the opposite, really.

Save the junior-high-insults-dressed-up-with-big-words for someone who cares or might buy it. Hint 4: Not me. --Calton | Talk 07:23, 9 November 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Civility warning

Dakltit, there are about 1,000 admins on Wikipedia, so Calton doesn't have much need to "contact" them; some of them will find you. If you really "hate people who edit your articles" or who "arbitrarily" delete them, and think it appropriate to insult them on your userpage, I'm afraid you've misunderstood the nature of the site. It's a private website, it's not the guardian of any of your constitutional rights, certainly not of your free speech. You edit here by invitation and courtesy, and if you're unwilling to extend courtesy in return, you will soon be disinvited. If I were you I'd remove the text on your userpage, as it shows you up as new, ignorant, and arrogant. That's just good advice. But as for your insults on Calton's page, I really urgently invite you to go remove them. New users such as yourself traditionally get a lot of extra tolerance on this site, but not even the mildest admin (and I'm not that) will have any patience with that kind of thing. Remove them immediately or I will block you from editing for a while. Please click on the links to basic Wikipedia policies that people have posted for you above. [edit] Non-apology

Okay, so I'm supposed to be civil:

I don't have a lot of time to write this, but you seriously didn't get what I was talking about. I wasn't talking about my own article, I was talking about OTHER articles submitted by OTHER people, not mine. So, I'm going to leave you alone now, and it would be nice for you to leave me alone too. I know it's not in my nature to be nice, and I also know it probably isn't right to ask it of other people, but whatever. At this point, I don't really care. I'm not saying you won this debate by being right, I'm saying I give up because it's pointless. It gets me nowhere and benefits me in no way. So, yeah.

--Dakltit 6:53 am, 9 November, 2006

Okay, that was the WORST excuse for an apology I've ever seen, even worse than the standard politician's "I'm sorry if anyone was offended" non-apology apology.

But it's immaterial. I don't care about your attitude or self-martyrdom. I DO care about your actions, and only insofar as it would involve cleaning up after you. I just happened to be the one to catch you this time, but there are hundreds and thousands of other volunteer editors who'd do the same.

Do what you want, but do it within the rules, and for the actual purpose of building a real and reliable encyclopedia. Otherwise, there's no point in being here. --Calton | Talk 00:38, 10 November 2006 (UTC)

[edit] FL Studio

Hi. If you need help with getting to grips with FL Studio you should probably join KVR and the FlipSide (there's a link to it at the bottom of the FL Studio article) and ask any questions you may have there. That's probably a better option than me helping you personally. Good luck. Zyxoas (talk to me - I'll listen) 10:43, 11 November 2006 (UTC)
