Jesse Garrett (born July 30, 1983), nicknamed Juice, is a college student and PC technician living in Fort Smith, Arkansas.
[edit] Biography
Jesse Garrett was brought up in Tacoma, Washington. His father is Wayne Garrett of Bossier City, Louisiana and his mother is Cindy Garrett of Puyallup, Washington. He has dated Kristen Knight since 2003. They are informally engaged, and are waiting to graduate college to further their relationship.
He attended eight different schools in his grade school career, and is currently a student of the University of Arkansas at Fort Smith, with a major in business administration.
In 1989, at the age of six, he received his first radio. His love of music started there and has only grown since. His hobbies include pop culture (both knowledge and societal), music, movies, golf, baseball, hockey, and cars. He is a fan of Razorback sports. His favorite musical groups are Radiohead, Smashing Pumpkins, and Pearl Jam. He has profound respect for pioneering musicians and groups who speak their message with originality.
In 1998, he became a regular contributor and fan of the local music scene of Fort Smith. In his words, "the music scene was the one thing that I was passionate about in the dreary town". However, with the pollution of unoriginal mainstream influence into the scene, Jesse became distrought with it and left. He has not attended a local show since 2003. He was once quoted as saying, "Very few brilliant musicians remain who travel from coast to coast to speak their message. All but a few left are just unoriginal poseurs who can play power chords to get girls". It was from this loss in his life that sparked his interest in the societal aspects of popular culture.
Jesse now lives in Fort Smith, Arkansas with his girlfriend of four years. He attends classes at UAFS and is a PC technician at Macsteel Arkansas. Due to a lack of things to do in Fort Smith, he usually travels to Tulsa, Oklahoma to spend time with his rotary family.
