Dakshin Baguan is a census town in Purba Medinipur district in the state of West Bengal, India.

As of 2001 India census[1], Dakshin Baguan had a population of 4672. Males constitute 52% of the population and females 48%. Dakshin Baguan has an average literacy rate of 69%, higher than the national average of 59.5%: male literacy is 75% and, female literacy is 63%. In Dakshin Baguan, 18% of the population is under 6 years of age.
