Dakota County Technical College (DCTC) is a public school that is part of the Minnesota State Colleges and Universities System. The college's main campus is located in Rosemount, Minnesota with additional campuses in Eagan and Apple Valley. DCTC's mission is education for employment and, as a result, the college has a number of unique programs that have been created to help fill high-demand areas. Some of these programs include Railroad Conductor Technology, Nanoscience, Wood Finishing and Industrial Distribution.
Total, the college has more than 50 programs, about 6000 regular credit students and 6000 customized training students a year. Classes are available online, day, evening, or weekend and short-term training is available. The college also has a number of student organizations and an athletic department that includes wrestling, men's and women's soccer, baseball, and softball.
